Q&A - Questions and answers about video biography

What is a video biography?
A video biography is a quick and simple way to record the stories of your life without the time and expense of writing them down to be published. We just come to your home with our video camera and equipment and record the stories of your life and then include photographs of your life and incorporate with music to create your life story.

How long does it take?
The actual interview takes from 1 to 5 hours in your home, and then it takes from two to four weeks for the final edited version on DVD.

What stories should I tell?
We have the essential questions that everyone should answer about their lives. These questions will help you remember. You can also add your own questions.

Why use video?
We live in a digital society which allows you to speak directly to your audience sharing your life stories showing your mannerisms, how you speak, and captures your spirit and personality better than any other medium.
What a wonderful way to see and hear someone who has died telling their life experiences and how their lives were shaped.
Baby Boomers are realizing that as their parents are hitting old age it is urgent to record the family history. Many are hiring video companies such as Life's Footprint LLC to capture these stories. There are seniors themselves who want there stories remembered after they are gone and feel this is one of the best gifts for their children and grandchildren.

Storytelling is fundamental to the human search for meaning. The past empowers the present, and the groping footsteps leading to this present mark the pathways to the future. - Mary Catherine Bateson
